Privacy Policy

Remind Gift is built to be private by design. This policy explains what information the app handles, where it lives, and the limited cases where anything leaves your device.

The short version

• The people, dates, and occasions you save are stored locally on your device.
• We don't require an account, and we don't collect names, emails, or contact lists.
• We don't sell your data. We don't show ads. We don't use third-party analytics or tracking.

Information stored on your device

Everything you enter in Remind Gift — people's names, occasion dates, interests, and saved gifts — is stored in the app's local database on your iPhone. Deleting the app deletes this data. We have no copy of it and no way to access it.

Notifications

If you allow notifications, reminders are scheduled locally on your device using Apple's notification system. Reminder content never passes through our servers.

Gift recommendations

When you browse gift ideas, the app sends a product search to our commerce partner (Shopify) to fetch matching catalog items. These requests include search terms derived from the occasion type and the interests you've entered (for example, "birthday" and "coffee") — never names, dates, or anything that identifies you or the people you've saved. Product details are fetched live and are not stored.

Purchases

When you choose to buy a gift, checkout opens in an in-app browser on the merchant's own website. Any information you provide at checkout is handled by that merchant under their privacy policy — Remind Gift never sees your payment details.

Children's privacy

Remind Gift is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

If we change how the app handles data, we'll update this page and the "last updated" date above. Material changes will be noted in the app's release notes.
